The wonders of Thailand...

Many months ago, the Doctor being the great bargain hunter he is, found a promotion to fly to Thailand. The actual seat tickets were $0.00 (yes, zero dollars) and we just had to pay the surcharges such as tax, luggage and meal costs. After many months waiting, and hoping that the Red Shirts protest had settled down, all the cards fell into place and we finally went there for the last ten days.

Rather than spend too much time recalling every event, I'll post the link to the photos and you can look at your leisure. If you come across a photo that you would like to know more about, please post a comment and I'll do my best to write about it.

3D Art...

Along Kaohsiung harbour is a disused pier and warehouse that the city council has converted into an Art Space. At the moment, the current display is 3D Art (well only two pieces). I'll let the pictures tell the story below:

On a side note, the camera actually picks up the illusion better than the naked eye.

Around the area where this exhibition was there are other public displays of art that add to the atmosphere.

There is also a walking and bicycle track. The photo below also shows Kaohsiung's tallest building called "Eighty Five". Can you guess how many floors that this building may have???

A quick post - linking to some photos

Just a quick post. The Doctor has just come back from a conference in Hanoi and took some photos. Click on this link The Doctor in Hanoi for the photos that he took.

From all accounts, Hanoi is more chaotic than Kaohsiung...
